Therapeutic Work with War Veterans

Voice and Art Therapy as a Path to Recovery

In our organization, we provide comprehensive support to veterans returning to peaceful life after participating in combat. One of the key areas of our work is the introduction of therapeutic practices that help restore not only physical but also psychological health.

We focus on such core areas as voice therapy with the DoctorVox device combined with art therapy, as well as art therapy in its different forms — including isotherapy, eco-bag painting, drawing, bracelet weaving, and painting shell casings together with children.

Voice therapy helps stabilize emotional states, reduce anxiety, normalize breathing, and restore bodily control. It also supports recovery and improvement of speech after injuries, concussions, or strokes — which is especially important for reintegration into full and active life.

Art therapy sessions — such as isotherapy, drawing, eco-bag painting, bracelet weaving, and painting shell casings with children — encourage emotional release, self-expression, and the creation of positive experiences. A particularly meaningful practice is the joint painting of shell casings: a symbolic transformation of war into peace through creativity, uniting generations.

Clay therapy and working on the potter’s wheel provide grounding, calm, and emotional processing through direct physical contact with the material.

Such practices help veterans reduce stress, reconnect with themselves and others, access inner resources, and find a path toward healing.

Therapeutic Support for Wives of War Veterans

Wives of veterans are the women who hold the home front every day. They walk a difficult path alongside those returning from war — offering support, sharing the pain, silently carrying responsibility. Their experiences often remain in the shadows, yet they too need care, attention, and resources.

In our organization, we create a safe and supportive space for women who live daily with the post-traumatic experiences of their husbands. Here they can:

    share their emotions without judgment,

reconnect with themselves through art therapy,

find support among those who truly understand,

    receive professional psychological help.

We work through both group and individual practices, using tools of art therapy, body-based techniques, and methods of emotional recovery. Our workshops, gatherings, and retreats help reduce anxiety, restore inner strength, and discover new meaning.
This is a space where one can simply be. Without roles. Without expectations. Just living, breathing, creating, and feeling supported.
