Sand therapy: a world born in the palms

Sand therapy is a magical space where every child can create their own world, express emotions and find inner balance. For children with disabilities, this technique becomes a safe way of self-expression, sensory, motor and communication development.

How does it work?

Sand is more than a material. It is a boundless space for play, creativity and self-discovery, where every child can feel their strength, freedom and harmony.

What does it give?

Children draw on the sand, pour it between their fingers, build shapes, create miniature stories using small figures. Both dry and wet sand are used, as well as kinetic sand, which has a special texture and easily takes any shape.

● Development of fine motor skills - strengthens hand muscles, improves coordination and sensitivity of fingers.● Sensory integration - interaction with sand stimulates tactile perception, helping children better feel their body and the world around them.● Relieve anxiety and stress – by sorting through sand in the palms, the child calms down, finds inner balance.● Develop imagination and self-expression – each created picture or composition reflects the child’s inner state, helping them to “tell” about themselves.● Work with emotions – through drawing, building or destroying sand images, the child learns to experience their emotions, to be aware of them and to regulate them.
